Kiryl Relikh is the new WBA world super lightweight champion!
Relikh took on Rances Barthelemy (26-1, 13 KO's) in a rematch of their fight from May 2017 that saw Barthelemy pick up a controversial decision win over Relikh.
This time, there was no doubt. Relikh dominated Barthelemy throughout the fight and picked up the unanimous decision win. Relikh won all three judges scorecards with scores of 118-109, 118-109, and 11-110.
The win improves the 28 year-old Relikh's record to 22-2, 19 KO's. With the win, Relikh picked up the WBA super lightweight (140 lbs) title, which was left vacant after Terence Crawford moved up to welterweight.
