Australian heavyweight, Lucas Browne, has been taunting Deontay Wilder on Twitter. It is clear that Browne is eager to face him and claims that he wants the "opportunity and the payday." It was rumored that Browne would face Anthony Joshua later this year, but he has been calling out Wilder for the past week. Wilder made his first title defense on June 13th after stopping Eric Molina in the ninth round. According to reports from Sky Sports, Browne also stated that Wilder is the WBC champ simply due to "his well-padded record and your promotional team".

Oscar De La Hoya has decided not to come out of retirement at age 42. Oscar has confirmed that he will not be stepping back in the ring.
"As a professional athlete and someone who has spent almost his entire life in boxing, not a day goes by when I don't think about coming back," De La Hoya said.
"But I am retired, and after speaking to my family and following a great deal of introspection, I have decided to stay retired."
After traveling to Australia, Chicago's Mike "Hollywood" Jimenez is coming back to Chicago with a title in hand.
The 28 year-old Mike Jimenez took on Francisco Ramon Benitez for the vacant Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) All America Super Middleweight Title. The fight took place at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton, Victoria, Australia.
Jimenez scored a knockout in round 3 to win the title. The win improves Jimenez's record to 18-1.
With his aggressive style and outgoing demeanor, Jimenez has been a crowd favorite for years in Chicago. Jimenez has been fighting in the Chicagoland area at most of the events put on by Hitz Boxing. He was one of the featured fights at last year's outdoor boxing event at U.S. Cellular Field where Jimenez scored a win over Maxell Taylor.
Former world welterweight champion, Andre Berto, claims that Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been prank calling him.
According to TMZ Sports, Berto's friendship with Mayweather's ex-fiancée, Shantel Jackson, and her new boyfriend, rapper Nelly, may be the reason behind the prank calls.
"I know it's him on the other line. I can hear him breathing on the other end of the phone. Stop getting people to call my phone, bro, and asking me about this person and that person. Don't do that ****. That **** is lame, it's corny. He has too much money for that," the 31-year-old Berto told TMZ Sports.
After looking poor in the ring in his loss to Shawn Porter, Adrien Broner got blasted on social media after he posted these Instagram pictures of himself with a gun. He ended up taking down the one with the gun pointed to his head. I guess if you can't win fights, you need to do other things to get people's attention.
Cuban Rances Barthelemy took on Antonio DeMarco in a Sunday afternoon card presented by Premier Boxing Champions. Barthelemy controlled the fight from start to finish and won every round on the judges scorecard. Barthelemy even dropped DeMarco in the 4th round with a left hand. His only flaw was a point deduction in round 9 for a low blow.
Gennady Golovkin, who has been looking for a big money fight for years, took to Twitter to call out David Lemieux after Lemieux's impressive win last night over Hassan N'Dam.
In the win last night, Lemieux showed power dropping N'Dam 4 times on his way to a unanimous decision win that resulted in Lemieux winning the vacant IBF Middleweight title.
Golovkin had been hoping for a fight with either Mexican superstar Saul Canelo Alvarez or Puerto Rican superstar Miguel Cotto. However, it seems clear Alvarez and Cotto are going to fight each other in the fall.
With Golovkin being the odd man out, Lemieux is the next best option, especially with Lemieux winning the IBF title.
In an action packed night of boxing, David Lemieux v. Hassan N'Dam turned in the fight of the night.
The fight took place in the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. The fans in the building got their money's worth.
With Oscar de la Hoya and Bernard Hopkins cheering ringside, David Lemieux showed off his trademark left hook dropping N'Dam in round 2, twice in round 5, and again in round 7.
Most men would have crumbled at Lemieux's power, but not N'Dam. N'Dam just kept getting up. Even better, towards the end of the fight, N'Dam kept outboxing Lemieux and winning rounds. In the rounds Lemieux won, he won big, but N'Dam seemed to get the better of Lemieux in all the close rounds by using his jab and moving to avoid Lemieux's power.
Andre Ward made it look easy.
After being off since November, 2013, Andre Ward made his return to the ring against veteran Paul Smith.
The night went just as planned for Andre Ward. Smith, who came in overweight, was basically a punching bag for much of the fight. Ward dominated the fight using his snappy jab to set Smith up for his right hand, and landing effective combinations throughout the fight.

Adrien Broner's haters got their wish.
Adrien Broner, who behaved like an ass for most of fight week, was outworked by Shawn Porter on Premier Boxing Champions. Aside from a devastating left hook that sent Porter to the canvas in the 12th round, Broner spent the first 11 rounds running and holding. Porter earned the unanimous decision win with scores of 118-109, 115-111 and 114-112.
Marcos Maidana and Shawn Porter attack similarly. Both apply tremendous pressure and are powerful volume punchers. Fighters that display these skills will be problems for Broner, who is more of a defensive boxer. He seems vulnerable when he can't maintain a comfortable distance from his opponent and isn't composed when he is smothered. He doesn't exchange well inside. Instead, he just resorts to holding and irritatingly pushing his opponent's forehead with his glove. However, what Broner did do impressively was land those left hooks when Porter would come in low and work his way inside.
Andre Ward's opponent, Paul Smith, showed up for the weigh in and didn't come close to making weight.
The fight was scheduled to take place at a 172 lbs catch weight. Paul Smith, who last fought at 165.5 lbs, showed up looking soft and out of shape. When he stepped on the scale, he weight in at 176.4 lbs, which is 4.4 lbs over the weight limit. Smith probably could have came in under 175 lbs if he just shaved his chest hair. His chest hair made Smith look like he was wearing a sweater at the weigh in.
Missing weight is going to cost Smith some money, but the fight with Ward is still on. The fight is Andre Ward's long awaited return to the ring after an injury and then a dispute with his previous promoter. It's also Andre Ward's debut fight for Roc Nation. The fight takes place Saturday night on the BET Network.

According to the LA Times, middleweight champion Miguel Cotto will face Saul “Canelo” Alvarez later this year, on November 21st or 28th, as an HBO PPV event. The location has yet to be determined, but New York’s Madison Square Garden appears to be the frontrunner.
World Boxing Council President, Mauricio Sulaiman, confirmed that he’s involved in negotiations that would require the winner of Alvarez-Cotto fight to face Gennady Golovkin next. After defeating Daniel Geale via TKO, Cotto appeared reluctant to confirm whether he would face Golovkin during his post fight interview. We don't blame him. Golovkin has an impressive knockout streak, with 20 straight KOs.
It sounds like the Golden Boy Live cards that were showing on FoxSports1 are going to end this month. ESPN and Yahoo are reporting that Golden Boy's contract with FoxSports1 was not renewed. Worse yet, it sounds like Al Haymon's Premier Boxing Champions series will replace Golden Boy on FoxSports1.
Golden Boy Promotions already has a lawsuit against Al Haymon and his related companies alleging that Al Haymon has created a monopoly. This latest news is certainly not going to help that. Premier Boxing Champions really cut into Golden Boy's business after taking most of Golden Boy's stable of fighters over the last year, and now with Premier Boxing Champions cutting into Golden Boy's TV time, it sounds like its going to be a tough year for Golden Boy.
